Clinical Roles
Organ Recovery Coordinator
Facilitate the organ donation process through donor management and organ recovery.
- Registered Nurse, Certified Paramedic or Registered Respiratory Therapist with critical care experience.
- Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator with ABTC certification.
- Equivalent amount of OPO experience in a clinical setting and a HS Diploma with additional post-secondary allied health training.
Tissue Recovery Coordinator
Facilitate the tissue recovery process to maximize the availability of tissues/corneas for transplantation.
- Successful completion of a one (1) year allied health care technical or professional program with current certification, or Associates degree level study with an emphasis in allied health or science field, or two (2) years of experience in tissue banking or related field is required.
Clinical Support Coordinator
Take all incoming referrals from hospital and coroner partners, complete the initial organ referral evaluation, entire tissue referral evaluation, coordinate travel and complete case coordination.
- Successful completion of a one-year allied health care technical or professional program with current certification, and/or a minimum of one year of previous work experience in a healthcare related field/OPO, or funeral directing/social work field is required.
Family Advocate
Obtain legal authorization and or disclosure for donor designation. Provide support to families throughout the donation process. Involves donor hospital team members in all huddles to coordinate family discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or relevant education and experience in social services, clinical or related field.
- Previous experience/certification in crisis intervention, grief/loss, healthcare, donation/transplantation is preferred.
Non-Clinical Roles
Community Outreach Coordinator
Responsible for developing and coordinating education and awareness programs and partnerships for the purpose of promoting public understanding of the ongoing need for organ and tissue donation and to increase the number of registered Hoosiers.
- A bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, public relations, health administration or health-related fields is preferred, as well as three to five years’ experience in the related field.
Information Systems Technician
Responsible for maintaining and monitoring end-user workstations and productivity on local area network (LAN) and perform a variety of maintenance, software installations, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance meet company and user requirements.
- An associate’s degree in computer technology, information systems, or the equivalent of experience and education is required. Position requires that the incumbent possess 1-2 years of experience in level I help desk support positions. A working knowledge of on premise, SAAS, and LAN programs required.
Captain/Pilot
The Captain has command of, and the responsibility for, the flight crew, passengers, cargo, the SAFE conduct of the flight, and provides guidance and coordinates the activities of every individual connected with all phases of the aircraft operation.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidate must be at least 18 years old. CJ3 Type rating preferred. Experience in type preferred. (4000 hrs TT, 3000 hrs PIC, ATP required.)
Creative Specialist, Photography and Video Production
Responsible for promoting public understanding of the ongoing need for organ and tissue donation and transplantation through the delivery of digital media content, including testimonial videos, documentaries, educational segments, ads, animations, brand pieces and radio spots.
- Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts or a similar field of study, or comparable experience required.
- Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in video editing preferred with a demonstrated history of creating original, innovative, and strategically sound video solutions.
- Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Suite, Lightworks, Premiere, AfterEffects, etc.).
Aftercare Support Coordinator
Responsible for administrative responsibilities of the family bereavement programming throughout the grief journey of all tissue and organ donation cases. Acts as a liaison to recipients, donor families, transplant centers, organ procurement organizations, and tissue processors.
- Bachelor’s degree or evidence of administrative work experience and skills is required.
- Interest in social services is beneficial.
- Position requires proficiency with basic computer software packages and data entry.
